Sanpellegrino celebrates its elevated relationship with Melbourne Food & Wine Festival








In 2010, Sanpellegrino has elevated its long-term support for Melbourne Food & Wine Festival. Apart from its ongoing relationship as an ‘Official Supplier’ for this major Australian event, Sanpellegrino has this year adopted Naming Rights to Wine Master Classes, now titled ‘Acqua Panna Global Wine Experience.”

Acqua Panna Still Mineral Water and S.Pellegrino Natural Sparkling Mineral Water both play crucial roles in the enjoyment and understanding of quality wine and food. In their own separate ways both waters compliment a particular wine style or varietal. As a rule of thumb Acqua Panna is recommended for white wines, champagne and sparkling wines, rose and soft ‘Beaujolais’ style red wines. Sanpellegrino also takes this opportunity to welcome the awe inspiring South American chef, Alex Atala with whom it has a close working relationship.

S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna are chosen waters in Atala’s D.O.M Restaurant in Sao Paulo, Brazil. D.O.M. currently sits at Number 24 in the S.Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Atala transforms traditional Brazilian dishes incorporating indigenous Brazilian ingredients using French and Italian techniques.

Alex Arala’s business card appears in an distinctly subtle advertising campaign for Sanpellegrino that features the business card’s of three other world acclaimed chefs – Carlo Cracco (Sanpellegrino’s Italian Ambassador and guest at last year’s Festival), Eric Ripert from New York’s Le Bernardin (number 15 in the S.Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants) and Australia’s own Shannon Bennett from Vue de Monde.
