marysvilles worlds longest lunch tickets on sale 3 december

The Worlds Longest Lunch, a popular annual event showcasing local businesses, produce, wine and products is being held in Marysville on Friday 4 March 2011.
The event comes under the regional umbrella of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival that is held in March each year.
2011 will be the 19th year of the festival.

The lunch is a ticketed event that has historically sold out quickly once released.
In 2010 - 200 tickets sold out in 48 hours.
This iconic event has been running since 2003 and features our finest chefs, produce, wines and olive oils.

'The 2011 long lunch will see 250 attendees enjoy Marysville’s long table that will meander on the gorgeous Steavensons River flats set in the lush green valley, where four of our finest chefs will prepare a sumptuous menu, matched with Upper Goulburn wines.
Our long lunch will celebrate the indomitable spirit of the region through wine, food and hospitality at this year’s host Maryton Park B&B cottages.'
The aim of the event, as in previous years is to promote the Marysville Triangle area, the Upper Goulburn region and local businesses involved.
There will be many surprises and auctions on the day and monies raised will go back in to the local community.

Tickets are $105 per person (for four courses matched with regional wines) and the event goes on sale December 3 through Ticketmaster 136 100 or http://www.ticketmaster.com.au/.
The Marysville’s World’s Longest Lunch Committee suggests that attendees respond quickly to booking tickets to avoid disappointment.
As in previous years there will be a waiting list for those who miss out with the early December release.
