Upper Goulburn news - books, brochures and Taste of Melbourne

Wine Companion loves our region..

James Halliday, well known wine critic has launched his 2012 Wine Companion which is regarded as the “bible” among wine enthusiasts.

The Upper Goulburn Wine Region which incorporates the towns within the Mansfield, Murrindindi and Mitchell Shires has received a rating of 8 out of 10 for white wines and 9 out of 10 for red wines which is fantastic news for the family owned vineyards and wine labels within the region.

All of the wineries within the region who had sent wine to James Halliday for review received ratings of 90 and above which signal that these wines are “highly recommended” and “outstanding” – “wines of great quality and character, worthy of a place in any cellar” states Halliday.
