Each time the Yea Country market is on the Tf's get this colourful and informative email in our in box... this time we thought we would share as its spring time and the gardens in the Upper Goulburn region are sensational..

"A very special invitation from Rotary Club of Yea to combine a visit to the Yea Country Market with the inaugural Yea & District Open Gardens Weekend,

Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th November.
The Rotary Club of Yea is holding their inaugural Yea & District Open Gardens Weekend on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6thNovember.

Twelve exceptional local gardens will be open, most for the first time.

A range of gardens from town gardens, large country gardens, newly established and mature gardens, some with water features will be participating;

spectacular views of creeks or vistas are an added bonus.

Many of the gardens have specialist collections, including:
the Iris collection at ‘The Three Sisters’
the hundreds of roses at ‘Ferndale’ and Strath Glen Station
the amazing edible garden at the Millers and
the unique seed collector’s garden with many heritage plants in the Yea township.
"Rising Brook" in Flowerdale - decimated by the 2009 fires but is now once again a sight to see (photos will be on display to compare then and now)
Many gardens will provide refreshments
Many gardens will have potted up plants for sale from their own gardens.

The gardens will be open from 9.30am to 4.30pm each day.

Tickets and brochures will be available at each individual garden or

from the Yea Visitor Information Centre over the weekend.
