The Rotary Club of Yea is holding their inaugural Yea & District Open Gardens Weekend on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6thNovember.
A range of gardens from town gardens, large country gardens, newly established and mature gardens, some with water features will be participating;
the Iris collection at ‘The Three Sisters’
the hundreds of roses at ‘Ferndale’ and Strath Glen Station
the amazing edible garden at the Millers and
the unique seed collector’s garden with many heritage plants in the Yea township.
"Rising Brook" in Flowerdale - decimated by the 2009 fires but is now once again a sight to see (photos will be on display to compare then and now)
Many gardens will provide refreshments
Many gardens will have potted up plants for sale from their own gardens.
The gardens will be open from 9.30am to 4.30pm each day.
So why not combine a visit to your favourite Yea Country Market with a day or weekend visiting wonderful local gardens. "
